The Tournament was played in Nairobi,Kenya & this time there were 11 (eleven) participates with Kenya making its to be the tournament.The New Zealand won the tournament after defeating in final by 4 wickets.It was a close contest a Sourav Ganguly Special 100 failed to Save india thanks to some very Good Batting From Chris Harris & Cairns.till date the ICC tournament won by New Zealand.
2002-ICC Knockout Champions Trophy
The 2002 ICC Champions Trophy was held in Sri Lanka & there were a total of 12 of teams participate in the tournament.This tournament holds a special records with the final washed out date to rain twice.The Sri Lanka & India were declared joint winners the trophy 2 finals were washed out of one after another & no more results was obtained.
The highest number of rins Virendra Sehwag (271) had in the tournament and Muralitharan(10) had the highest number of wickets.
2004-ICC Knockout Champions Trophy
The ICC Champions Trophy 2004 was held in England and is considered to be of most exciting tournament in the history of cricket.12 teams participate with a new USA entry making it to be tournament for the 1st time over.West Indies won the tournament by defeating England in the finals by two wicket.

2006-ICC Knockout Champions Trophy
The ICC Champions Trophy 2006 tournament was held in India and Played under a new format And turned out to be a bigger success than 2004 edition of the tournament.8th teams competed in the group phase the top 6th teams in ODI And two teams-West Indies and Sri Lanka who Qualifies by defeating Bangladesh and Zimbabwe by defeating them in a round robin qualifying round
The 8t teams were then split into two groups of four in a round robin compettion (Australia won the tournament by defeating West Indies in the finals by eight Wickets).

2009-ICC Knockout Champions Trophy
The Playing Schedule in 2008,the event was postponed of the place which was Pakistan.many teams weren't ready to play in Pakistan due to security reasons.Finally in 2009 the place was changed and South Africa hosted the tournament .The Australia won the tournament again by defeating New Zealand in the finals by 6th wickets.
